However, we have dined at the Golden Lion several times, whether for a small group in the restaurant or garden, or for a family celebration in the banquet hall. We have always received excellent service and enjoyed delicious food. Therefore, I absolutely cannot understand some of the more recent reviews here. The food was as expected during our last visit at the end of June 2025—delicious and of high quality. The portions are still very generous, and this hasn't changed despite the change in restaurant management. The same applies to the service, which remained calm and collected despite the stress of several large groups arriving simultaneously. It was a lovely evening, and we will certainly be back. ”
